Afan Forest, only 6 miles away, is the fastest growing mountain biking area in Britain and has it all, from flowing, swooping single track threading through beautiful forest to exposed, rocky double track on wide open hills.  Afan Forest offers four superb world class trails and has the most all weather single track in Wales. It has been voted one of the ten best trails to ride “before you die” and  one of the top ten forests in the UK.

The Penhydd Trail is a 16 km mix of tightly twisting single-track, fantastic views and awesome descents through Hidden Valley, Sidewinder and Dead Sheep Gully sections.

The Wall Trail is a swooping 23km of mainly single-track loop with epic views and breathtaking descents to keep your heart pumping all the way round.

The White’s Level Trail is a 15km purpose built technical single track with an adrenalin pumping mix of rock drops, step sections, berms and cliff traverses.

The epic Skyline Trail is 46km long and has 2000m of climbs and descents. With stunning ridgeline scenery and a roller coaster final descent, it’s a serious piece of trail for the experienced and fit rider.

Brecon Beacons National Park, less than an hour away, offers 16 single track trails through forests, over lush mountains, across streams and open common. The Grwyne Fawr Reservoir is the killer black trail, over 50km long and reaching heights of 700m.

Brechfa Forest, an hour away, boasts stunning scenery and exciting, challenging terrain. The trails have been designed by world cup rider and expert trail builder, Rowan Sorrell. Test your full artillery of skills on the Raven Trail or take it easy on the Derwen Trail, ideal for families and novices.
