Hotel Access Statement
The Castle Hotel
Set in the Town centre with allocated public disabled parking 5 metres from Hotel entrance.
Private car park 20 metres away.
200 metres from Neath train station and the National Express Bus terminal.
300 metres from the bus station.
Entrance is approached via 3 stone steps with highlighted nosing and handrails. Ramps are available for wheelchair access.
Assistance can be arranged.
Comfortable seating, a public phone and a unisex accessible toilet are available in Reception.
The comfortable Lounge Bar, serving food and drinks is level to the ground floor.
There are 3 steps down to the Restaurant but this is also approachable via a ramp from the outside of the Hotel.
Large print menus and registration cards are available at Reception.
Any dietary requests can be catered for with sufficient notice.
There are 2 steps up to the main function room (The Abbey Suite) but again a ramp is available.
All accommodation is arranged on the 1 st and 2 nd floors which are accessed via the front staircase. There is no lift available.
There are currently no disabled bedrooms available.
Corridors are well lit and have good colour contrast.
All rooms have remote control TVs, phones and internet access.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Full room service is available during restaurant opening hours Mon-Sat: 7.30-9.30/12.00-15.00/18.00-22.00 Sun: 8.00-10.00/12.00-15.00/19.00-21.30.
A Receptionist/Night Porter is available 24 hours for room service drinks or personal assistance.
The nearest Shop Mobility Scheme is located 300 metres from the Hotel.
